Registered Legal Document Assistant
Hello, I'm Chona. Let me help you with your paperwork.
I prepare wills, trusts, deeds, and court forms for California seniors and families. We sit down together, I write things up for you, and I explain every page in plain words. No rushing, no pressure.
What can I help you with?
Pick the one that sounds most like you.
I want to plan ahead
A will, a trust, power of attorney, or your healthcare wishes written down.
I have paperwork to handle
Probate packets, property deeds, court forms, or disability paperwork.
I'm not sure yet
That's okay. I'll listen first and tell you honestly if I can help, or if you'd be better off with an attorney.
A little about me
My name is Chona Mejia. I work with seniors, Filipino families, and grown children who are helping their mom or dad with paperwork. Wills, trusts, deeds, probate — I know these things can feel heavy, especially when the family or the house is involved. So we go slow.
I am not an attorney. I cannot give you legal advice, pick documents for you, or speak for you in court. What I can do is prepare your paperwork based on what you tell me, walk you through every page, and make sure it's neat and complete before you sign.
If your son, daughter, or caregiver wants to sit in on the call, they're welcome. And if your situation needs a real attorney, I'll tell you that too. I'd rather send you to the right person than take work that isn't a fit.
You don't have to figure this out by yourself.
How working with me looks
Four simple steps, no surprises.
Why families choose me
A few things you should know before we work together.
Registered and bonded
I work under California's rules for Legal Document Assistants (Business and Professions Code §6400–6415).
The whole family is welcome
Bring your son, your daughter, or whoever helps you. I know families do this together.
Seniors and Filipino families
I work with a lot of kababayans and their kids. I know how we like to talk these things through.
Want to talk it over?
Call me or send a short note. We'll talk about the papers you need, and I'll tell you honestly if I'm the right fit or if you should see an attorney.
