Registered Legal Document Assistant

Hello, I'm Chona. Let me help you with your paperwork.

I prepare wills, trusts, deeds, and court forms for California seniors and families. We sit down together, I write things up for you, and I explain every page in plain words. No rushing, no pressure.

A little about me

My name is Chona Mejia. I work with seniors, Filipino families, and grown children who are helping their mom or dad with paperwork. Wills, trusts, deeds, probate — I know these things can feel heavy, especially when the family or the house is involved. So we go slow.

I am not an attorney. I cannot give you legal advice, pick documents for you, or speak for you in court. What I can do is prepare your paperwork based on what you tell me, walk you through every page, and make sure it's neat and complete before you sign.

If your son, daughter, or caregiver wants to sit in on the call, they're welcome. And if your situation needs a real attorney, I'll tell you that too. I'd rather send you to the right person than take work that isn't a fit.

You don't have to figure this out by yourself.

How working with me looks

Four simple steps, no surprises.

1
You tell me what you need
Call me or send a short note. I'll listen and ask a few questions so I understand what paperwork you want prepared.
2
I prepare your papers
I write up your documents based on what you told me. If anything needs a closer look, I'll call you back before I finish.
3
We review together
I read the packet with you, page by page, in plain words. You make sure every name, date, and detail is right before you sign.
4
Filing and keeping copies
If your papers need to be filed or recorded, I'll show you what comes next and help you keep your copies organized at home.
